LA County Coronavirus Cases Surpass 100,000 Mark!

Los Angeles County has officially surpassed 100,000 coronavirus cases making it the highest number of daily new cases since the beginning of the pandemic. Governor Gavin Newsom ordered for bars to close after the skyrocketing numbers and LA health officials said that restaurants and bars kept falling short of meeting public-safety protocols. Dr. Christina Ghaly, the county's health services director, says that the problem really took place over the the past two weeks when roughly 500,000 people visited bars and nightlife spots. Right after Governor Newsom made his announcement, the county put out their own statement that all bars, breweries, brewpubs, pubs, wineries and tasting rooms in LA County will be required to close. The only exception was if they are offering sit-down dine-in meals, but bar areas within restaurants must be closed.
