The San Diego Zoo Just Launched An Online Education Program!

Since all all of the schools are closed forcing kids to be home schooled, San Diego Zoo Global has decided to launch an education program to keep parents, teachers and zoo fans in general connected to their favorite animals. They're doing this through free online content, entertainment and educational tools. The #WereHereTogether program will allow visitors to go on their website where you can check in on the animals and receive daily updates from livestreaming wildlife cameras since we can't physically be there. President and CEO of San Diego Zoo Global, Paul A. Baribault said in a statement,

"During these uncertain times, our thoughts are with our community around the world who have always shown us tremendous love and support as we carry out our mission of saving the world's species. With new challenges come new opportunities, and now more than ever, we want to share the joy of our stories direct from the San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park with fans everywhere."

The livestream cams will give visitors the chance to witness the animals explore, eat, swing and play throughout their day. Along with the live cams, there's also curriculum on wildlife with content for literally everyone including students K-12, animal care professionals, educators, parents and just animal lovers in general. The programs meant for K-5 Students will have San Diego Zoo Kids video stories, hands-on activities and games, and links to live wildlife cams and information about how to help save species. The middle school and high school students will have programs like digging into conservation and posts that cover subjects like the happenings inside the pathology lab of Disease Investigations.
