Kate Middleton shared a "rare" public statement citing a "new colleague" in her latest message amid an ongoing battle with abdominal cancer.

According to E!News, the beloved royal resounded sheer delight in welcoming The Scouts' newest UK Chief Scout via she and Prince William's Instagram Story on Friday (September 6).

"Delighted to welcome @dwaynefields as the new UK Chief Scout. The Scouts is such an incredible organization, teaching #SkillsForLife and making a huge difference to young people across the country. Looking forward to working with you! C."

Dwayne, succeeding former Chief Scout Bear Grylls, shared a grateful message to the organizations Instagram page following the exciting announcement.

"I was first introduced to Scouts at the age of 7. I've been so lucky that I've managed to take young people on expeditions right across the world, but right here in the Scout groups and HQs right across this country is where Scouting lives."

The Princess's latest message arrives as she continues to endure chemotherapy as part of an ongoing battle with abdominal cancer, which she announced back in March.

Just a few months ago, Middleton was feeling well enough to attend one of her "favorite events of the summer," showing up to the Wimbledon men's singles final in London on July 14 alongside daughter Charlotte, 9, and sister Pippa Middleton, 40.

The strong and stunning mother-of-three maintains the need for privacy as she proceeds to navigate a new normal amid her slow return royal duties and time with her family.
