Some Government Workers Still Unpaid

After nearly 2 weeks since the longest government shutdown ended, many government workers have still not received back pay, or have only been paid a small amount they are owed due to payroll system glitches. The federal government has assured workers that the issues will be resolved within a week. These issues come at a bad time considering there could be another government shutdown next week.

44,000 Barbie Dream Camper Cars Recalled

Fisher Price has recalled 44,000 Power Wheels Barbie Dream Camper cars, and has issued a statement via their Facebook page saying "If you have this product, immediately take it away from children and contact Fisher-Price for a free repair". Although there have been no reported injuries, there have been multiple reports of the vehicle continuing to run even after the accelerator petal has been released. The specific model number is FRC29.

Retired Bakersfield Fire Chief Sued

Retired Bakersfield Fire Chief, Douglas Greener, is being sued by a former city employee for sexual discrimination, harassment and battery. The accuser claims Greener would send harassing text messages, made unwanted physical contact with her, and caused her to be put on disability from the stress. She is seeking over $25,000 in damages.
