Miley Cyrus Experienced a Near Death Flight to the Glastonbury Festival

Miley Cyrus

File this under terrifying experiences: Miley Cyrus and her family had a truly frightening encounter in the sky while on their way to this year's Glastonbury Festival.

During the latest episode of Your Favorite Thing Podcast with her co-host Wells Adams, Brandi Cyrus revealed all of the details of her family's recent near-death plane ride. According to Miley's older sister, much of the Cyrus fam was on their way to the UK for the Glastonbury festival, and describing the journey as a "bumpy ride" is putting it lightly — their plane almost hit another plane!

"Our plane tried to land twice and had to come back up because there were other planes in our way," Brandi explained. "Out of nowhere, as we're landing, we swoop back up and like bang to the left and turn. It feels crazy."

But, the dramatic moment only escalated from there. Brandi explains that her, Miley and their mother Tish Cyrus were "losing their minds." She recalled, "Miley's in my lap, my mom's holding my hand across the aisle and nobody is telling us what's going on. A full five minutes go by and we're clearly going all the way back up and they finally come back and tell us, 'No need to panic but somebody was in our lane in the sky and we were going to hit them.' That's terrifying to think about."

Terrifying, indeed! And, it happened TWICE, as in twice the terror. Brandi added, "After 10 minutes of circulating us around, they go back to land again, same frickin thing happens! My mom starts crying and goes, ‘If we die, Noah is alone' and freaking out. I'm trying to hold it together for everybody."

As scary as their trip to Glastonbury was, the Cyruses DID make it to the festival, where she performed and looked like a true rockstar in black pleather pants, a white tank top, and lots of gold jewelry.

We're glad the Cyrus family made it safely! Listen to the full Your Favorite Thing Podcast episode above.
