Pink Drops Upbeat Bop 'Can We Pretend' Featuring Cash Cash: Listen Now

The BRIT Awards 2019 - Show

Pink is totally faking it on her brand-new single.

On Thursday morning (April 11), the singer-songwriter released a track called "Can We Pretend" with Cash Cash — and it’s all about being fake-happy for a chance to go back in time. “I remember conversations/ We were dancing up on tables/ Taking pictures when we had nowhere to post,” Pink opens the record, taking listeners back to an era sans social media and the infinite scroll of online news outlets.

As the nostalgic track proceeds to a synth-laden chorus swelling with EDM ad-libs, Pink finally pops the big question, “So can we pretend that I'm 22 today/ Dancing on the tables with you, oh yeah/ Can we pretend that we all end up okay? I just wanna forget with you, oh yeah.”

The artist’s latest earworm, co-written by the New Jersey-based electronic trio and OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, is the third single released from Pink’s upcoming eighth studio album, Hurts 2B Human.

The songstress has already offered fans a taste of Hurts with previously-released tunes “Walk Me Home” and “Hustle.” Pink's latest LP, dropping April 26, also includes features with Wrabel, Khalid and Chris Stapleton ("Love Me Anyway").
